SUICIDE SQUAD DID NOT COMMIT TOTAL MOVIE SUICIDE: MOVIE REVIEW (SPOILER FREE)

This movie is a lot of fun y'all. I’ll say right off the bat that I did enjoy it much more than BvS, it’s less convoluted and more lighthearted.

Will Smith truly shines as Deadshot, making him my favorite character of the film. Margot Robbie plays crazy well as the beloved Harley Quinn, Jared Leto’s Joker is terrific and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller is terrifying. The cast works well and you grow to appreciate the leads(you’ll grow to respect El Diablo)whilst also wanting more Joker! He’s not in there a ton but plays more of a supporting role, it’s good to know that going in so you aren’t let down. The key is to enjoy his scenes as a sample, not a meal.

The soundtrack is awesome and I also found parts of the score to be as well.

For keen eyed viewers, there are some Easter eggs peppered throughout, and some you’ll definitely miss on the first viewing! You’ll also get a nice cameo from our favorite speedster and be sure to stay after the film ends to see the mid-credits scene, it’s very hype worthy.

Although the plot of the film has been seen many times before in summer blockbusters, and the main villain is meh, the film’s leads do shine through and it’s a very fun film to watch. A true comic book film at its heart. Go check this one out.

P.S. Make your trip to Riverwatch in Augusta to enjoy those delightful reclining seats. They’re terrific! #suicidésquad #aftertheflick #dccomics #dceu (at Riverwatch Cinemas)
