MOVIE RANKINGS 2016

NOTE: These are all the movies that I SAW, there's many others I missed or simply weren't interested in.

11. Batman vs Superman -

Wasn't really my cup of tea, enjoyed the fight scene and flash cameo yet felt it was a bit overstuffed for my liking.

10. Suicide Squad -

I actually enjoyed the movie for the fun, yet felt the execution was kind of meh at times. Deadshot was great, the Batman cameo was awesome, and the Joker wasn't fully utilized, a side piece to horrid Enchantress.

9. X-Men Apocalypse - This movie has great moments but the overall execution is poor. Apocalypse was a missed opportunity, Quicksilver and Magneto were great and the woods scene was beautiful but not enough to save the film

8. Jungle Book - This movie had some great effects, so much so that you'll believe these animals are really talking!

7. Deadpool - A big surprise at the box office and a self aware superhero movie that brought a much needed flare to the growing genre.

6. Doctor Strange - A very trippy film with some stellar graphics and mind boggling visuals. Definitely memorable and unique as we move towards new frontiers

5. Arrival - What a wonderful film that didn't take the typical alien invasion route. Some stellar visuals, a pleasant score, and a nice surprise ending that'll leave you thinking.

4. 10 Cloverfield Lane - A subtle thriller with some tense moments that'll keep you at the end of your seat in a different take on an Alien invasion.

3. The Revenant - Some of the greatest cinematography I've ever seen, a real treat that really took you into the moment. The score's pretty nice as well.

2. Captain America: Civil War - One of my most anticipated films for the year, a payoff for all the years that went into making a cinematic universe. Balancing a lot of new and old faces with great fight scenes.

1. Rogue One - This was the film for me. Seeing the OT era in the modern age is something I've dreamed of. I'd prepared in reading the lead in novel and I loved every little Easter egg, the fantastic Donnie Yen as Chirrut, K-2SO, the grit, Tarkin and of course — Vader. It showed what a standalone could be. #movie #movienight #moviereviews #movieday #moviebuff #movietime #movieworld #movielover #movieaddict #movielovers #moviejunkie #moviefreak #moviegeek
