Obi-Wan Strikes Back

This is something I've been meaning to get out, after last nights episode of Rebels and some new revelations I figured it was officially time for it!

Recently, Obi-Wan has been getting a great deal of attention. A few weeks back a writer at Entertainment Weekly by the name of Anthony Breznican said that the reason there hasn't been Obi-Wan solo film is because they're not yet done with him in the saga films. Alongside this, there's the recent "Visions and Voices" episode of Rebels where he gets name dropped and Maul and Ezra are searching for him knowing that he is the key to defeating the Sith. In essence, he is as he's watching over Luke.

In Force Awakens the words "These are your first steps." are heard in the vision that Ewan McGregor came into record. They wouldn't just place all this here for it to not lead anywhere.

Is Rey his granddaughter? It'd make for a interesting story seeing the Skywalker and Kenobi heritage fighting once more. If this was true, it'd add even more depth to his story within the saga.

Another little tidbit is the duels between Rey/Kylo and Anakin/Obi-Wan are extremely similar. And not by coincidence.

Many would dismiss simply because they hate the prequels so much, yet one thing most will agree on is the Obi-Wan was one of the best parts.

All in all, it would make since if Obi-Wan featured in the new films and we learn more about him, which leads into his own film where we learn even more. I think that'd be really cool. The only thing is you can't forget his words in "A New Hope", when Luke asks him about Obi-Wan Kenobi. "Obi-Wan Kenobi? Obi-Wan. Now there's a name I've not heard in a long, long time. A long time." When Ezra and the rest of them get there, there's gotta be some type of explanation before things are contradicted. How will everything go down? How will he tie into the greater saga?
